We are well. We didn’t sleep as well last night…well actually the boys woke up from 11-1 am and I am sure it was jet-lag related. Gilles and I couldn’t fall asleep for the longest time. It is another beautiful day here. God is so awesome…it has not been too hot at all…unbelievable. We had oatmeal for breakfast, but it was salted…the kids weren’t too sure of it. We just finished a “mosquito net dipping party.” We had to take all the nets and dip them in permethrin (sp?) which is an anti mosquito product. It is very stinky and pretty potent. It really is beautiful here. We again, ate fresh pineapple, papaya, grapefruit and incredible bananas for meals here. The bananas are so sweet and really yellow on the inside, since they ripen on the trees. We have neighbors with 2 boys the same ages as Josh and Sam. And their favorite game is Settlers of Catan….unbelievable. We played “eucre” with them last night. They are headed from here to Brazzaville in Congo. There are no girl children students this session, but several families with the SIL have girls. Gaby has met Rachel, Abby and another girl too. She is having fun too. There is a great playground with slide, treehouse, sandbox and seesaw for the kids to play. Tomorrow, please pray, we will be taking adventure excursions to the market to check it out and then in the afternoon we are to observe a goat butchering. We are not yet sure if we should include the kids. There is value to both sides. It is good for them to understand that this is life here and you can’t buy cellophaned meats here. And yet, the initial slitting of the throat may be too much, so we may just include them for the skinning and draining part. Apparently when we do the primitive camp phase, we will be slaughtering chickens quite a bit.
